Pink Panther Pussycat

I went to bed last night wondering what the hell I was going to blog about today... then a gem like this turns up on google.

I dyed my cat to match MY hair admits owner of 'pink panther' found wandering the streets

By Daily Mail Reporter

The owner of a pink cat who was tracked down after a nationwide hunt has admitted she dyed her pet to match her hair.
Defiant Natasha Gregory said she was proud of her actions - and would even do it again.
The 22-year-old mother-of-two admitted using food colourant to turn the short-haired cat's fur a vivid shade of pink.

I feel like someone's going to make a porn movie about this.  'The Day Pink Pussy Ran Away.'  Think animal cages and a cat snatcher with a net.  The only thing that would have made this story better would be if British Pink Hair Lady named the cat Betty.

Don't get  me wrong, I adore animals.  I have four at home (five if you count ChuckBass the fish.)  It's just that if I had dyed my cat pink, I probably wouldn't let it outside.  If it glows, how's it supposed to hide from predators, like coyotes? (remember Jessica Simpson's malti-poo!)  How's it supposed to serve it's feline purpose, keeping mice and shit out of my house?  Any rodent is going to see that cat coming a mile away.

I strive to keep this blog informative, so for all you crazy animal lovers who want your pet to resemble a package of highlighters, here's your links to purchase pet-safe haircolor.

Here is a vendor that advertises this color line for dogs with fifteen shades to choose from.

And for those of you who want to just use food coloring, here is a great how-to article

Keep in mind, these colors have no harsh chemicals, so they will only work on lighter colored or white animals.  Good luck, freaks.  I don't have the time or the balls to color my animals, so props to you.
